Our Clinic & Vision
Alex Jarominek established AJ Chiropractic & Health Clinic with a vision of creating a safe and welcoming evidence-based healthcare service for the Penrith local community. We understand that experiencing painful symptoms can be both frustrating and scary, which is why we aim to treat every person with professional care, respect and patience. Our practice is conveniently located on High Street in Penrith, just in front of Judge's carpark.

Alex Jarominek has graduated from Macquarie University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and Master of Chiropractic.
Alex believes strongly in clear and open communication to help you understand the root cause of your symptoms and will tailor his treatment approach specifically to your case.
Having practiced across a number of multi-disciplinary health clinics and medical centres across Sydney, Alex incorporates physiotherapy techniques into his practice for a holistic approach and has worked with a wide range of healthcare providers to service diverse demographics.
Alex uses chiropractic manual therapy techniques to adjust the joints in your body and utilises a wide range of other techniques to improve muscle function, such as dry needling and active releases.

Graduating with a Masters of Chiropractic from Macquarie University in 2023, Sam brings a fresh perspective to injury rehabilitation and your overall health. Utilising adjustments, soft tissue massage, exercise rehabilitation and dry needling, he tailors his approach specifically to you, ensuring personalised care that always puts you first. Beyond the clinic, Sam actively engages in his local community. Growing up in nearby Mulgoa, he supports his local church and is a regular at Penrith Parkruns. In his spare time, Sam enjoys playing table tennis and OzTag. As a recent running enthusiast, Sam embraces an active lifestyle and is training for his first triathlon! So whether you're recovering from an injury, exploring alternative therapies, or simply aiming to stay well-adjusted, Sam is the chiropractor who combines skill, adaptability, and genuine care for YOUR health.

Graduating from Macquarie University in 2021 with a degree in marketing and working in an agency that helps businesses grow, Jessica has learned powerful lead generation strategies that deliver results. She’s an expert when it comes to Facebook & Instagram ads, and knows how to strategically attract ideal clients through highly targeted advertising to bring in a consistent flow of clients and an increase in sales. How we can help you
Our Services
Chiropractic
This includes soft tissue releases and joint adjustments where necessary. Adjustments are a safe and gentle way of introducing extra movement in specific joints, often the small facet joints along your spine. They sometimes create a "pop" sound and feel amazing afterwards!
Dry Needling
A popular method used to release muscle tension, this technique uses thin needles similar to those used by acupuncture. The aim is to stimulate the muscle and elicit a twitch response in order to break down tension.
Exercise Rehab Plans
A plan of home-based exercises that is tailored specifically to you. This rehab plan will sometimes be split into multiple phases and will aim to assist you in optimising movement in areas that are prone to becoming tense or to strengthen muscle groups that are weak.
Posture Screening
A detailed analysis of your posture with the use of an A.I. powered software that is able to provide insight into how your posture may affect the function of your muscular system and how you compare to the gold standard of perfect posture.
Electrotherapy
A high-end TENS machine that is able to stimulate muscle function and activity. This is particularly helpful for those suffering from muscle injuries as well as those suffering from muscle weakness or under-activity.
Flexion - Distraction
A gentle and effective technique for treating the lower back by creating a traction effect in order to open up the spine and decompress discs and nerve roots. Research has found this to be the most effective method for treating disc herniations.
Appointments
Initial Appointment
First time visiting our clinic? How exciting! This session will be a 30-40min long chiropractic consult during which we will get to know you and work out a plan how to best help you achieve your health goals. You will receive a detailed examination and treatment from your chiropractor during this session.
Extended Appointment
Been to our clinic before but feel like you need a bit of extra time with your practitioner? This session will be a 30min consult focused entirely on comprehensive treatment and may include dry needling, extra soft tissue work and guided rehab exercise.
Standard Appointment
If you've been to our clinic before and you're just looking to receive your regular treatment, this consult will include a quick history check, brief examination and your standard treatment.
What can we help with
Headaches & Vertigo
There are many causes for why we may experience headaches and vertigo, one of the most common being tension in the upper neck - we call those "cervicogenic". If this is the case, treating the neck to alleviate tension often results in reducing vertigo and headache severity and frequency.
Sports injuries
Our practice is well equipped to help you speed up recovery following a sporting injury. We also ensure to help minimise the risk of injuries reoccurring in the long term so you can keep playing the sport you love!
Chronic pain
Chronic pain refers to the long term, persisting pain that just doesn't seem to go away on its own. This can happen anywhere in your body, very commonly in the neck, lower back, shoulders and hips - all depending on your lifestyle factors. We aim to identify and treat the underlying cause of the recurring pains, not just the symptoms.
Posture
Who can honestly say they have "perfect posture"? The truth is, poor postural habits is something we are all guilty of at times, however it becomes a problem when our bodies learn an incorrect postural pattern and adapt it as its functional normal. We aim to guide you by identifying weak muscles and providing you with strategies to help address your posture long term.
Work cover
If you've been injured at work, it's possible you may be eligible to receive treatment to get you back on track under work cover. We will work with you, your employer and your insurer to get you back on your feet as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Repetitive strain injury
Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) can happen as a result of many different things, such as playing the piano, working long hours on the computer, frequent lifting, etc. As the name suggests, it is a long term injury due to repeated micro-trauma. If you are finding yourself becoming more and more uncomfortable with performing a certain action, don't wait until it's too late!
